CRRC Institute
The CRRC Institute is a strategic support department directly under the CRRC. It mainly functions as the technical economy research center, science and technology resource center, as well as the strategic and development research center of CRRC. The institute sets up the development research platform of industrial development and the platform of resource aggregation for CRRC and its subsidiaries, organizes the promotion of basic, forward-looking, common technology research and the commercialization and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. The CRRC Institute also carries out the intelligent technology research and the research and construction of production platform. The institute closely follows political and environmental changes as national policies and regulations, market environment, industrial trends, and competitive enterprises, and carries out the research work by focusing on major and practical issues such as development strategy and management innovation of CRRC. The institute aims to integrate the information resources, construct a unified competitive intelligence system, and provides the science and technology innovation services for CRRC’s subsidiaries.

中车研究院是中国中车的直属机构和战略支撑单位，是中车的“技术经济研究中心”、“科技资源聚合中心”，及“战略和发展研究中心”。研究院为中车及其各子公司搭建产业发展研究平台及资源聚合平台，组织推动基础性、前瞻性、共性技术研究及科技成果商品化、产业化等工作，开展中车智能技术研究、产品平台研究与建设；研究院密切跟踪国家政策法规、市场环境、产业趋势、竞争企业等政策和环境的变化，紧紧围绕中车发展战略、管理创新等重大和现实问题展开研究工作；整合国内外信息情报资源，搭建中车两级信息情报平台，为中车所属企业科技创新服务。
