CRRC and UIUC Researchers Continue Collaborations via Online Meetings during the COVID-19 Outbreak.

2019

On Oct. 25-27, 2019, a UIUC delegation led by the Director of Chinese-American Railway Transportation Joint Research Center Ouyang Yanfeng attended the 4th International Conference on Electrical and Information Technologies for Rail Transportation in Qingdao, China.

2018

On Oct. 17-19, 2018, a UIUC delegation led by Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost Andreas Cangellaris attended the 2nd International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring and met CRRC leadership in Qingdao, China.
On August 8-11, 2018, a UIUC delegation of five engineering faculty members represented UIUC’s Chinese-American Railway Transportation Joint Research Center to visit the CRRC Institute in Beijing and one of its main manufacture plants in Tangshan, China.
On May 18, 2018, a CRRC Institute delegation led by Vice President Mr. Bangcheng Sun visited UIUC. The guests attended presentations of all CRRC funded/approved projects at the Engineering Hall and toured a number of research laboratories.
Prof. Pega Hrnjak from the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering is working with CRRC Changchun to co-organize 1st International Symposium on Environmental Control of Vehicles in Changchun, China (第一届运载工具环境控制国际研讨会).
Since March, Prof. Chenhui Shao from the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering has been hosting CRRC collaborators Boge Wen and Junen Yi at UIUC.
In March to May, Prof. Alison Dunn from the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering is currently hosting CRRC engineer Junen Yi for 5 weeks at UIUC.
On March 29, 2018, Prof. Xiaofei Wang from the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering hosted CRRC visitors Linghan Yue and Yuebin Yu at UIUC.

2017

In December, Prof. Yuanhui Zhang from the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering visited CRRC.
In October, Prof. Arif Masud gave a keynote speech at the 2nd International Conference on Industrial Aerodynamics in Qingdao, China, and visited CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd.
In September, Prof. Hong Yang from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering hosted the CRRC project manager Xiaohui Zhang at UIUC.
Prof. Nenad Miljkovic et al. from the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering hosted CRRC delegates Geng Hui et al. for multiple weeks at UIUC.
In March, Prof. Chenhui Shao hosted CRRC collaborators Fengwei Liu and Liangwei Zhang.
In January and July (twice), Prof. Chenhui Shao visited Haichuan Tang, Boge Wen and Yin Tian at CRRC Institute.
In January and December (twice), Prof. Hong Yang visited Xiaohui Zhang et al. at CRRC Institute.

2016

On October 12, Prof. Billie F. Spencer, Jr. gave a keynote speech, “Campaign Monitoring of Railroad Bridges using Wireless Smart Sensors,” at the 1st International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring for Railway System (第一届轨道交通结构健康监测国际研讨会).
In September, Prof. Hong Yang from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering hosted the CRRC project manager Xiaohui Zhang at UIUC.
